FreeStyle meets every weekend beginning Saturday, December 23rd through 12/31 (excluding 12/25 & 12/26) and will conclude the second weekend in March, 10:00am - 3:30pm (lunch 12:30-1). Groups meet in the Berkshire Room ready to rip at 9:30 AM in the Berkshire Lodge.

This seasonal program is for all mountain skiers/riders ages 7-17 years old who wish to expand their freeriding skills.  Various skiing/riding terrain will be explored, including (conditions permitting) riding switch, boxes, rails, ollis, nollis, taps, trees and a whole bunch of other fun stuff.  The main focus circling around Smart Style; an industry-wide set of freestyle standards and park etiquette.  Participants can expect to have a lot of fun learning the ins & outs of Catamount as a whole while gaining a marked experience that will be remembered for life!

FreeStyle skiers need to be comfortable skiing backwards and skiing all terrain on the mountain closed track parallel.

FreeStyle boarders need to be comfortable riding switch and carving on blue terrain, and linking turns on blue/black terrain.

Helmets are required for all program participants.

Please be sure to select the correct program for the ability level of your child. Underestimating the ability level of your child is much easier to adjust for rather than overestimating their ability level.  Children who do not meet the required minimum ability level and chairlift ability will be moved down to other programs based on availability.

Please arrive for drop off at 9:30am in the Berkshire Room of the Berkshire Lodge.  Designated drop off times enable the groups to be out on the snow for the start time of 10:00am.  If you are late to the snow for the start time (10:00am) you risk forfeiting or you will need to wait at a designated lift that day  for the group to come down and pick up your child on the next run. This time will not be rescheduled, nor will a refund/credit be given.

  • Children must arrive dressed and ready for snow.

  • Parents are responsible for picking up rental equipment and getting children geared up.

  • Due to chair lift capacity limits, children may be required to ride chair without an instructor.
